The Man Who Knew Too Much

- Directed by: Alfred Hitchcock
- Cast: James Stewart, Doris Day, Brenda De Banzie
Not the 1934 original with Leslie Banks and Peter Lorre, nor the Bill Murray spoof with the 'Little' appendix, but Hitch's remake of his own film with the monumental James Stewart as the doctor on vacation in Marrakech who witnesses a murder and thereafter gets into all kinds of trouble. A passable remake.

Familiar screen adaptation of Lerner and Loewe's musical slant on *3Pygmalion2, notable for a catalogue of great tunes, Harrison's somehow endearing half-spoken singing, and Cecil Beaton's splendid costume designs (especially in the racecourse sequence).
